Video Editing Is Stuck in the Past. Quickture Is Built for What’s Next.

Editing workflows haven’t kept up with the speed of modern productions. Quickture eliminates busywork and helps teams focus on the creative decisions that matter.

Video Editing Is Stuck in the Past. Quickture Is Built for What’s Next.

We’re capturing more video than any point in history, but most of it just sits there. Almost no one keeps up with editing it into a great story. That disconnect is the biggest bottleneck in modern media.

Cameras are everywhere: in our pockets, on drones, across massive TV productions. Yet editing tools haven’t kept pace. Most still look and feel like they did 20 years ago: slow, linear, and expensive.

Editing can consume up to 90% of a production timeline and nearly half the budget. From major studios to independent creators, editing has become the primary obstacle between a good idea and finished content.

Meanwhile, the industry is under pressure. Budgets are shrinking. Newsrooms are downsizing. Marketing and comms teams are expected to produce more video, more often, with fewer resources. Social media doesn’t run on quarterly releases. It demands daily content.

The result? Demand is up, capacity is down. Footage piles up. Editors burn out. Stories go untold.

This bottleneck affects the entire content ecosystem; traditional media, digital platforms, corporate video, education, sports, and the creator economy. These industries generate hundreds of millions of hours of footage each year, yet the vast majority of video never gets edited or shared.

We’re building Quickture to change that.

Building a Different Approach

As longtime reality and documentary producers, we’ve lived the pain of post-production, the long nights, the impossible deadlines, the buried stories. Quickture is our way of fixing both the tedious work and the creative struggles that slow editing down.

It’s an AI-powered platform that transforms hours of raw footage into clear, compelling narratives, fast. By handling the most time-consuming parts of post, Quickture frees creative teams to focus on what matters: storytelling.

Unlike short-form clip generators, Quickture is built for long-form, dialogue-driven content like reality TV, documentaries, news, sports, and corporate video. It integrates directly with Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro, allowing editors to:

  • Find key moments in huge amounts of footage
  • Test different versions of a scene – funny, emotional, or dramatic
  • Assemble rough cuts in minutes
  • Collaborate and plan edits interactively
  • Experiment more without extra cost or burnout

Our Founding Team

We built Quickture because we’ve been in the trenches. We saw how much good content gets stuck in post, so we created the tools we wished we had.

  • Irad Eyal, CEO: Creator and producer of Bravo’s Southern Charm and Netflix’s Floor is Lava.
  • Ron Eyal, CPO:  Award-winning filmmaker, documentary editor, and computer scientist.
  • Gary Grossman, CTO: early leader behind Flash and the “Father of Actionscript”
  • Matt Hanna, CSO: veteran network executive behind NBC’s American Ninja Warrior and VH1’s Fabulous Life.

Our experience shaped everything about Quickture, from its workflow to the AI behind it – including our proprietary speaker identification and labelling system, which automatically delivers the most accurate transcripts in the industry.

Quickture in Action

We started by working with TV producers and broadcast networks, and today Quickture is transforming workflows across industries:

  • Corporate teams scale training and marketing video without adding headcount.
  • Documentary filmmakers discover storylines buried in hundreds of interview hours.
  • News and sports orgs turn breaking footage into polished segments fast.
  • Creators and small teams produce more, without sacrificing quality or control.

What once took three weeks can now happen in an hour, unlocking real-time content, unleashing IP libraries, and enabling personalized storytelling.

The industry has noticed. Trusted by strategic partners like Adobe and Avid, Quickture already powers creators at A+E, ITV, Paramount, Banijay, EndemolShine and beyond.

"Quickture gives editors the ability to understand their footage and find their story faster,” said Van Bedient, Global Director Strategic Development & Partnerships at Adobe. “Editors can skip the grind of finding shots and assemble rough cuts in minutes."

The casting team for Love Island UK used Quickture on the latest season, doubling their output – prompting ITV CEO Dame Carolyn McCall to cite the technology on an earnings call. That success has led to a broader partnership with ITV.

"Quickture represents a significant step forward in how we approach post-production at ITV Studios,” said Paul Kerrison, Head of AI Innovation, ITV Studios. “By handling tasks like assembling audition highlight reels, the technology allows our creative teams to focus their energy on storytelling and talent discovery."

Accelerating Our Vision

Today, we’re announcing two major milestones: the completion of our $1.9M pre-seed round, led by Kickstart Ventures, with participation from Forward VC, Arts Alliance Ventures, and other angels, and the launch of Quickture Vision, our next-generation visual analysis engine.

This funding accelerates our mission to transform how video content is edited. It enables us to deepen integrations with Avid and Adobe, expand capabilities, and bring Quickture to more creators, studios, and storytellers worldwide.

What's Next

Quickture Vision marks a major step forward. It lets editors organize, search, and edit not just by transcript, but by visual context – recognizing what’s happening on-screen as easily as what’s being said.

Combined with new agentic AI features, Quickture can now harness all the functions of Avid and Premiere directly within the platform, streamlining the creative process.

"Quickture is leveraging AI in a way that drives efficiency in real production scenarios,” said Ray Thompson, Senior Director of Partners and Alliances at Avid. “With the additional capabilities introduced with Quickture Vision, editors are realizing even greater benefits while staying within their creative flow."

Our long-term objective is clear: to democratize professional-quality editing, just as digital platforms transformed distribution and smartphones revolutionized capture.

In the next year, we aim to make Quickture an essential tool not just for professional content creators, but for anyone with a story to tell.

For media companies, this means creating more content at a lower cost. For corporate teams, meeting surging video demand across departments. For creators, producing higher-quality content at the pace social platforms demand. And for individuals with years of footage trapped on phones and drives, making professional-quality editing accessible to all.

Video has become our universal language. It's time our editing tools caught up. At Quickture, we're building that future.
